1. How long does it take?

Small jobs (up to 200sq. ft.) can often be set up and placed in one day. Most jobs, however, (up to 500 sq. ft.) are set up on one day and the concrete is placed on another day. Larger jobs can take additional days.

2. Can you help me design my landscape area?

Yes, we often do preliminary drawings and prefer to work from customer drawings or lines scratched out on the ground.

3. Do you speak Spanish or English?

We prefer to do business in English and often have people around who can translate.

4. I have a picture of what I want. Can you match it?

Customers often ask us to work off pictures. Once we see the picture, we can tell you if it is something we can do.

5. How much will it cost?

Concrete remains to be one of the most affordable building materials available. For a free estimate, give us a call or email.

6. Our concrete is colored. Can you match it? Does it fade?

That's a tough one. And a lot of people ask that. The fact is, if you look around the neighborhood at all of the gray or natural colored concrete, you'll notice that there are quite a few shades of gray out there. This condition also is inherent in colored concrete. So, one load can vary in shade from truck to truck. The closest we can get, is if we have the exact color code from whoever did the original and even then, it can vary in shade depending on the time between pours, temperature and finishing techniques. Yes, concrete will fade. It must be sealed annually, especially if exposed to the Arizona sun.

7. Will my concrete crack?

Yes. Concrete cracks because of the shear weight under forces of gravity. Concrete is only as stable as what it's placed on top of. If the sub-grade (underneath) is properly prepared, it should not crack right away. Just as crackers usually crack on the perforated lines, sometimes they don't. It's the same with concrete. Rebar can be added to minimize cracking in some cases.

8. How long does it take to dry?

The correct word is cure. Concrete takes 28 days to stop compressing in on itself. After that, it is cured and will expand and contract for many years. In one week, however, it has 75% of its strength and block layers are allowed to stock blocks on it within 12 hours. It is recommended to hold off one to two weeks for parking. Although generally you may walk on it the next day.
